Men-skin-care-products--do-fears-hold-you-back-
By Therese Higgins
Are you avoiding men skin care products because you fear using them will make you unmanly? Do you feel that your skin needs some attention but you're afraid to go shopping for skin creams because you think you will be laughed at? Without the help of quality skin care, natural skin for men means putting up with the aging effects of exposure to sun, wind and environmental pollution. So it comes down to which you fear most: looking old before your time, or using men skin care products?

Maybe I can help dispel these fears by sharing a conversation I recently had with my brother... one of the most macho guys I can think of. He has long been an advocate for the use of men skin care products. I wanted to know how he came to be so comfortable with using products that have normally been associated with women.

The first thing he said to me was he that couldn't understand what the big deal was since, "skin is skin." Taking responsibility for the care of your skin, in his opinion, is a very "masculine" thing to do. He said he believes that a man owes it to his wife or girlfriend to maintain good grooming habits. Its only natural skin care for men become part of those habits.

Being able to purchase and use men skin care products is also important for my brother because there was a time when they were a little hard to find. Back then he had to use the same facial creams that his wife used. He told me that he was so happy when he could buy skin care products for men because it meant that he didn't have to pull "little pink jars" from his bag in the locker room after working out at the gym.

My brother went on to explain that he believes that vanity isn't a bad thing. In his opinion, men should take pride in their appearance, especially as they age. In addition to using anti wrinkle cream for men, my brother also recommends regularly trimming eyebrows, nose and ear hair to keep the signs of aging in check.

Over

the years my brother says he's seen an evolution in the quality of men skin care products. Instead of creams made of synthetic chemicals, today its possible to buy safe, natural, highly-effective products that have been developed with a "health" approach rather than a "cosmetic" approach. This type of natural skin for men means attacking problems at the cellular level, where it is possible to treat and repair skin damage.

The products that my brother prefers contain high concentration of nature-based, active ingredients. Made up of natural oils from avocado and macadamia nut, and fortified with vitamins, keratin, sea kelp and CoQ10 enzyme, these men skin care products are able to penetrate the skin cells to promote healing, increase natural collagen and elastin production and create a soft, smooth, healthy texture to the skin.

Make no mistake about it. It's easy to be held back by your fears. But if you take your cue from my "manly" brother, using men skin care products is the best way to fight your fear of looking old. And if you're still afraid to go out and shop for mens face cream, you can easily do your research and purchasing online, in the privacy of your home.
